The world rips the
necks of timbers and the

pure as you walk
the perimeters of

my head. I destroy time as I
daydream of what is already

dead and I’ve been biting on
my nails down to their cuticles

knowing I will never taste
again anything as sweet

knowing I lust for a bitterness
I cannot seem to spit.
